Lot # 31: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Sherry Magie Error SGC Authentic

Modestly graded example of the famous T206 Magie error card. Magie is one of the rarest T206 cards and — along with Plank, Wagner, and the rare Doyle — is usually one of the last cards required by collectors to complete the set. The Magie error card has been recognized as one of card collecting's great rarities since the days of Jefferson Burdick. (In fact, Burdick singled out the Magie as one of the significant T206 rarities in the original American Card Catalog.) Encapsulated as Authentic by SGC, the card has several condition issues, including heavy creasing, paper loss, and substantial back damage to the Piedmont advertising reverse.
