Lot # 1550: 1962 Topps Near-Complete Set (597/598) Including 26 PSA- and SGC-Graded Cards

The 1962 Topps set has a well-deserved reputation for being the era's most condition-sensitive issue. The flush-to-the-border brown wood-grain design of the 1962 Topps set makes this issue particularly susceptible to edge and corner wear and makes the assembly of high-grade sets all the more difficult. This is an extremely attractive and mostly high-grade near-complete set (minus one) of this classic set, consisting of 597 different cards (missing only #200 Mantle for completion). Includes four significant variations: #139 (two out of four), 190, 462, and 516. Condition is 47% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including a few bordering on Mint), 48% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 5% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser, a couple with color added, a few that measure small, and seven with a slight trim).
