Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. One of card collecting's classics, Mantle's #311 Topps rookie card is the key to the 1952 set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable postwar baseball card. In August 2022, an SGC MINT+ 9.5 example sold at public auction for $12.6 million, a record at that time for any sports card. Do not be fooled by the modest assigned grade! This example has brilliant colors, outstanding registration, honest corner wear, and outstanding centering. Clean reverse. It presents at a level far better than its assigned grade, which is the result of minor areas of surface wear along the front. This card presents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a visually appealing example of Mickey Mantle's most celebrated card in an extremely desirable condition, yet very possibly at a small fraction of the cost of a higher-grade example with the same eye appeal.
