Official American League baseball (MacPhail) signed in blue ink by 24 members of the 1975 California Angels, including Ryan, D. Williams (Mgr., sweet spot), W. Herzog (coach), Tanana, Singer, Chalk, Meoli, Pena, Remy, Kirkwood, M. Nettles, Ramirez, Bochte, Dobson, Egan, Muffett (coach), Allietta (in his only season with the Angels), Harper, Lange, Resinger (coach), Hassler, M. Scott, and Stanton. The 1975 California Angels endured a difficult year, finishing 68–94 and placing sixth in the AL West. Managed by Dick Williams (replaced late in the season by John McNamara), the team struggled offensively despite solid pitching. Nolan Ryan remained the club’s biggest draw, posting 186 strikeouts and continuing his reputation for overpowering stuff. Frank Tanana emerged as a rising star with a 2.62 ERA and 269 strikeouts, forming a dominant 1–2 punch with Ryan. The ball displays light toning and a few spots of discoloration, otherwise in Near Mint condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
