Official American League baseball (Cronin) signed in blue ink by 31 members of the 1965 Detroit Tigers, including Kaline (sweet spot), T. Fox, Wert, Wickersham, Sherry, G. Smith(deceased in 1987 at the young age of 49), Mullin (coach), Aguirre, Moore (only season with the Tigers), Lolich, Horton, Freehan, Overmire (coach), Sullivan, Skaff (coach), Roarke (coach), Lumpe, Northrup, Sparma (deceased in 1986 at the young age of 44), Gladding, McLain, Thomas, Oyler (deceased in 1981 at the young age of 43), Swift (Mgr.), McAuliffe, Wood, Navarro, Seale, Regan, Cash (deceased in 1986 at the young age of 52), and Demeter. The 1965 Tigers finished 89 and 73, good for fourth in the American League. Al Kaline led the offense with a .281 average and strong all around play. Norm Cash added power with 30 home runs. Willie Horton broke out with 29 homers. Denny McLain emerged on the mound with a 16 and 6 record. The season showed the core that would contend for the 1968 championship. Near Mint condition overall.
