Topps' second NBA set increased in size to 175 cards and again continued to use the condition-sensitive oversized card design. The issue is packed with Hall of Famers and rookies, and is highlighted by Pete Maravich's rookie card. Condition is 15% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few Nr/Mt), 28% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 57% lesser (mostly due to pencil marks [some partially erased] with the balance due to staining). Keys: #7 Bradley (Vg-Ex), 10 Havlicek (Vg), 13 Riley RC (small pencil marks on front, otherwise Vg-Ex+), 24 Checklist (marked in pencil front and back, otherwise Ex), 50 Chamberlain (Vg-Ex+), 63 Dandridge RC (Nr/Mt+), 65 Baylor (small pencil marks on front, otherwise Vg-Ex+), 70 Hayes (small pencil marks on front, otherwise Ex), 75 Alcindor (Vg), 100 Robertson (small pencil marks on front, otherwise Gd), 101 Checklist (marked in pencil front and back, otherwise Vg-Ex+), 107 West AS (pencil on front, otherwise Vg-Ex), 112 Havlicek AS (Vg-Ex), 114 Robertson AS (pencil on front, otherwise Ex), 120 Frazier (Gd due to staining), 123 Maravich RC (Vg), 137 Murphy RC (partially erased pencil, otherwise Vg+), 148 Sloan RC (Vg due to stain), and 160 West (Vg). This is an attractive mixed-grade complete set of these popular early Topps basketball cards packed with numerous highlights. Total: 175 cards.
