Lot # 761: 1933 R309-1 Goudey Premiums PSA-Graded Near-Complete Set (3/4) Including Babe Ruth and Original Envelope

Offered are three of the four cards that make up the complete set of R309-1 Goudey Premiums, together with the original mailing envelope. Each card has been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (submitted by REA). The lot consists of the following: Babe Ruth (POOR 1), 1933 American League All Stars with Ruth and Gehrig (GOOD 2), and 1933 National League All Stars (GOOD 2). The original mailing envelope is in very presentable condition overall. This issue was available only by mail in exchange for Goudey Gum wrappers. These very substantial, high-quality premiums, which are printed on thick cardboard stock, are designed with a foldout cardboard easel attachment on the reverse, which allows each card to stand on its own for display. Even though these cards technically grade very modestly, they are bright and clean and have an overall very presentable appearance. Near-complete set of three Goudey premiums from 1933, missing only New York Giants team for completion and representing an outstanding vintage-card collecting value. Total: 3 cards.
