Pitching on just two days' rest, Koufax led a dominant 10-strikeout complete game shutout as the Dodgers defeated the Twins 2-0. The victory gave the franchise its second championship in three seasons and third since moving to Los Angeles in 1958. Koufax, named World Series MVP, went 2-1 with a 0.38 ERA and 29 strikeouts across 24 innings.
