Lot # 1251: 1956 Kahn's Wieners Frank Robinson Rookie SGC GOOD 2

Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Modestly graded example of Frank Robinson's rookie card from the 1956 Kahn's Wieners set. Kahn's from the earlier years (pre-1960) are particularly rare and tend to survive in low grade simply because they were available only in packages of Kahn's Meats (as opposed to also being available by mail in sets direct from the company, as was the case in the later years). The set features only members of the Cincinnati Reds. They are usually found with serious condition problems relating to their method of issue, including creases and hot-dog stains. The offered card has a striking image, honest corner wear, and a crease near the lower right corner. This is a very appealing example of this rarely seen Frank Robinson rookie card from this scarce 1950s regional issue.
