In what marked Michael Jordan's final game in New York, his Wizards fell 97-96 to the Knicks. Jordan scored 39 points in the losing effort. Jordan frequently tormented the Knicks on their home court over the course of his career and finished his career averaging 31.8 points per game in contests at Madison Square Garden, a record that stands to this day.
