Lot # 3124: 1982 and 1983 Wrestling Series A, Series B, and Series All-Stars Complete Set (108): #13 PSA Set Registry (7.09 GPA)

Presented is a complete run of the three 36-card Wrestling All Stars sets produced by the Wrestling News magazine in 1982 (Series A and B) and 1983. These sets offer the first standard trading cards of legends like Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Jesse Ventura, and Ric Flair. The only way these sets could be purchased at the time of issue was as full cellophane wrapped sets via mail order through an ad in the Wrestling News or Wrestling Revue magazines for $5. It is estimated that fewer than 2,000 sets were produced. This set is very condition-sensitive due to the color borders and the fact that most sets were sold tightly wrapped in cellophane. Each card has been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA, and the complete set currently ranks #13 on the PSA Set Registry with an overall GPA of 7.09.
