Lot # 514: 1911 T212 Obak Cigarettes Buck Weaver PSA VG-EX 4

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Cards of Buck Weaver, a member of the infamous 1919 Black Sox, routinely sell for more than Hall of Famers from the same sets in which he appears. Unfortunately for collectors, Weaver appears in very few sets. This is an outstanding example of what is perhaps his most majestic card: the 1911 T212 Obak Cigarettes card, picturing him with San Francisco of the Pacific Coast League before his Major League playing days with the Chicago White Sox. It has brilliant colors, excellent registration, and light corner wear. Clean reverse with bold red text. A tremendous example of this early and important Buck Weaver tobacco card.
