Collection of 50 signature examples of football Hall Famers and other stars (or coaches) on a variety of different items. The collection consists of the following: Letters (15): Paul Brown (HOF, typed), Art Donovan (HOF, typed), Tom Flores (handwritten), Tom Landry (HOF, typed, signed only "Tom"), Elmer Layden (typed), Dick McCann (served as first president of the Pro Football HOF, typed), Jordan Olivar (typed), Grantland Rice (typed), Dan M. Rooney (HOF, typed), Amos Alonzo Stagg (typed), Lynn Swann (HOF, typed), Lynn Waldorf (typed), Pop Warner (handwritten), and Larry Wilson (typed). Checks (5): Bert Bell (HOF, Philadelphia Eagles payroll check), Henry Jordan (HOF), Clarence "Biggie" Munn, Bubba Smith, and Clyde "Bulldog" Turner (HOF). Players Contract (1): Official NFL "Standard Player's Contract" dated November 18, 1955, between Eugene Filipski and Cleveland Browns Inc. (operating as the Cleveland Browns Football Club). Signed along the base in black ink by Eugene Filipski, team president Paul Brown (black ink), NFL Commissioner Bert Bell (blue ink), and two witnesses. The one-page agreement calls for Filipski to receive a salary of $7,800 for the 1956 season. The contract (8 x 19.75 inches) displays five horizontal folds and light creases.
