Presented is a very attractive and clean complete set of the classic 1954 Bowman football issue. The set is highlighted by twenty-six different Hall of Famers, including Frank Gifford, Otto Graham, Bobby Layne, and George Blanda's rookie card, as well as several short-prints, which can make the assembly of a complete set difficult for collectors. This classic issue features full-color photos on front, with the player's name and team printed underneath alongside the team logo, and biographical and statistical information on the reverse along with football quiz questions and/or officiating rules and explanations. Condition is 23% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (mostly Nr/Mt), 52% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 25% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple that measure a bit small). Six cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #4 Atkins RC (Ex), 8 Van Brocklin (Ex-Mt), 12 Matson (Nr/Mt), 23 Blanda RC (Vg-Ex), 29 (NM 7), 32 Hirsch (Vg-Ex), 40 Graham (Vg-Ex), 42 Tittle (NM-MT 8), 53 Layne (Ex+), 55 Gifford (EX-MT 6), 61 Finks (NM 7), 76 Nomellini (Ex-Mt), 102 Tunnell/correct (NM-MT 8), 107 (NM 7), and 128 Lattner (altered, otherwise Ex-Mt). A very attractive mid- to high-grade complete set of this classic 1950s football set. Total: 128 cards.
