Presented is an attractive near-complete set (no #66 Ted Williams) of 1954 Bowman baseball consisting of 209 different cards (out of 224 in the set). Missing the following fifteen cards for completion: #65 Mantle, 66 Piersall, 67, 69, 83, 88, 89 Mays, 95 Roberts, 109, 111, 134, 170 Snider, 217, 218, and 223. Condition is 25% Vg-Ex to Ex, 65% Gd to Vg, and 10% Pr to Fr (including some to pinholes and a few that measure small). Keys: #1 Rizzuto (Gd), 6 Fox (Vg), 15 Ashburn (Gd+), 33b Raschi//trade line (Pr-Fr), 45 Kiner (Vg), 57 Wilhelm (Vg-Ex), 58 Reese (Vg-Ex+), 62 Slaughter (Ex), 64 Mathews (Vg), 84 Doby (measures a bit small, otherwise Pr-Fr), 90 Campanella (SGC EX/NM 6, submitted by REA), 101 Larsen RC (Vg), 110 Schoendienst (Vg+), 132 Feller (Pr due mostly to pinhole), 138a Hodges/.993 (Ex), 145 Martin (Pr), 161 Berra (Vg), 164 Wynn (Pr-Fr due to pinhole), 177 Ford (Ex), and 196 Lemon (Pr-Fr due to pinhole). 1954 Bowman baseball is one of the most outstanding values among all early 1950s sets.
