Description

Presented is a collection of thirty-eight different cards from the 1960 Topps baseball series. This group originated from production sheets that included examples of the three extremely rare variation cards of Gino Cimoli, Kent Hadley, and Faye Throneberry (all three are featured in this current auction). All the cards are hand cut and range from Vg to Ex-Mt condition (averaging Vg-Ex). Cards from the Cimoli Sheet (17 cards): #1 Wynn, 4, 6, 11, 12, 13, 15, 20, 22, 39, 43, 61, 62, 68, 74, 85, and 86. Cards From the Hadley/Throneberry Sheet (21 cards): #3, 14, 16, 24, 26, 29, 30, 32, 40, 41, 46, 48, 57, 69, 76, 78, 81, 84, 90, 95, and 96. This is a fascinating group of cards from the popular 1960 Topps series that long-ago originated from known production sheets which included the three extremely rare variation cards from this set.
