Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level by SGC with none higher! Presented is a rarely offered example of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer Fred Clarke from the 1910 Orange Borders series. In 1910, the "Geo. Davis Co., Inc." and the "P.R. Warren Co." of Massachusetts together issued this striking and extremely rare package-design set, with two cards featured on each box of "American Sports - Candy and Jewelry" (one on the front, and one on the back). The card displays a crisp image, light corner wear, and moderate creasing. This is a very attractive card from this elusive set worthy of any Fred Clarke, prewar, or type-card collection.
