Description

Exceptionally attractive and mostly high-grade complete set of "A Gallery of 1935." This British set, issued in 1936 by Mitchell and Son., features crisp images of historical figures (such as Walt Disney, Shirley Temple, Joe Louis, Lawrence of Arabia, etc.), with biographical information and company advertising on the reverse. Condition is 48% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 40% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 12% Vg to Vg-Ex (including one Pr due to pencil on the front). Three cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #17 Disney (NM 7), 27 Braddock (EX-MT 6), and 28 Louis (EX 5). This is an outstanding complete set of this popular 1930s set worthy of the finest nonsport-card collection. Total: 50 cards.
