Graded EX-MT 6 by Beckett. When Dodgers fans attended the seventh and final game of the 1956 World Series at Ebbets Field, little did they realize the significance of the event. While the 9-0 loss at the hands of their hated crosstown rivals, the Yankees, caused immediate sadness, it would be nothing compared to the emotions felt later that offseason when they learned the Dodgers had traded Jackie Robinson to the New York Giants. Rather than play with the Giants, Robinson retired, thus closing one of the most historic chapters in baseball history. Offered here is a ticket stub (4.25 x 2.25 inches) from Game 7 of the 1956 World Series, representing Robinson's last game in the Major Leagues.
