Lot # 1036: 1949 Bowman Near-Complete Set (207/240) Plus Nine Variations

Presented is a near-complete set of 1949 Bowman baseball consisting of 207 different cards (out of 240 in the set), plus nine variations (#4, 78, 83, 85 Mize, 88, 109, 126, 132, and 143). This is an extremely attractive medium-grade set. Condition is 37% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt), 53% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 10% lesser (including two trimmed). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Cards from this set are extremely hard to find in high grade, in part because they often have soft corners due to the quality of the paper stock on which they are printed.
