Very presentable example of Honus Wagner from the rare and highly regarded PC758 Max Stein Postcards set issued from 1909 to 1916. Baseball photographer Max Stein's classic photo-finish postcards are among the most revered of all early 20th century postcards. Featuring a black-and-white photo of Wagner leaving the batter's box, this postcard uses the same image as Wagner's E300 Plow's Candy card. Bright and crisp, with honest corner wear, and an unobtrusive crease in the upper left. The postcard has been addressed and mailed. Graded POOR 1 by SGC. It should be noted that the grade is largely attributed to the postcard being addressed and mailed. This impressive and overlooked Wagner card is an ideal low-grade sample from one of the most unusual and substantial of all 1910-era baseball postcard issues.
