Presented is an astounding hoard of 500 complete, 11-card sets of 1985 Mr. Z's Pizza Pete Rose. These thin 5 x 7-inch promotional cards, all depicting Cincinnati Reds player-manager Pete Rose, were originally distributed to Mr. Z's Pizza customers on a one-card-per-purchase basis. This grouping undoubtedly emanates from a find of undistributed cards, and 80% range in condition from Nr/Mt to Mint (averaging Nr/Mt-Mt) and 20% lesser grades (mostly ranging from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt). Considering how substantial they are, Mr. Z's Pizza "Pete Rose" cards have received very little attention from collectors, in part due to the fact that they are larger than standard cards and therefore have only recently begun to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. This is an extremely sizable and unlikely find of cards from this rarely seen regional food issue. Total: 500 sets, 5,500 cards.
