Complete, original unopened wax box of 1979-1980 Topps hockey containing 36 unopened wax packs. Each pack contains 10 cards for a total of 360 cards. The 1979-1980 Topps hockey set features the rookie card of Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, and many other Hall of Famers, including Ken Dryden, Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, and Mike Bossy. Given the meteoric rise of high-grade rookie cards in recent years, including the incredible $1.2 million public auction sale of a PSA GEM MINT 10 Topps Wayne Gretzky in August 2022, it is hard not to consider the increased value prospects of a completely original unopened wax box of this classic issue. The box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The store display box is bright and bold with light-to-moderate shelf wear, including a bit of creasing. This is an extremely desirable unopened wax box that would make a superb addition to any hockey card or unopened wax-box collection.
