Description

Collection of forty-three different 1911 T205 Gold Borders, including scarce minor leaguer Doc Adkins. The tobacco advertisements on the reverses are Piedmont and Sweet Caporal (except for two Polar Bears). Condition is 32% Vg-Ex (including one Ex), 40% Gd to Vg, and 28% Pr to Fr. This collection consists of the following: Adkins (Pr-Fr, Polar Bear back), Ames (Vg), Barry, Birmingham, Carrigan, Corridon, Crandall/"t" crossed (Pr), Criger, Daubert, Devlin, Dygert, Flynn, Ford/white cap (Vg-Ex), Gardner, Harmon/both ears show, Hartsel, Hummell, Kling, Konetchy, LaPorte, Leifield/"A. P." on front (15/85 T/B, otherwise Vg-Ex+), Lobert (Polar Bear back), Maddox, McElveen, Merkle, Mitchell, Moriarity, Oakes, Parent, Pelty, Raymond (Pr), Richie, Schaefer, Schmidt, Sheckard, Smith, Stanage, Street, Tannehill, D. White, Wilson, Wiltse/both ears show, and Wolter. This is an ideal medium- to lower-grade collection of cards for the collector who wants real, authentic 1910-era tobacco cards but isn't interested in spending the fortune it would take to acquire them in a higher grade. Total: 43 cards.
