Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA (submitted by REA). Tremendous 1889 N172 Old Judge of Hall of Famer “Smiling” Mickey Welch of the New York Giants (pose #486-2). The offered card has outstanding image quality and even corner wear. The blank reverse is mostly clean. This is a fantastic copy of this rarely offered card of Mickey Welch, one of the most legendary Hall of Fame pitchers of the 19th century. Welch was the Major League's third 300-game winner. During his 13 Major League seasons, he won 20 or more games nine times, including seven straight years. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973.
