Lot # 393: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Bill O'Hara St. Louis Variation SGC VG 3

Graded VG 3 by SGC. Mid-grade example of the rare T206 Bill O'Hara card, St. Louis Browns variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this variation, no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not protected well from the accompanying product, so most O'Haras have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining (including this example). This well-centered example exhibits brilliant colors, a crisp image, and honest corner wear. The Polar Bear reverse is boldly printed. Light creasing contributes to the assigned grade. A solid example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 White Border set.
