Description

Classic example of New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle's true rookie card. Mantle's Bowman rookie card is the key to the 1951 set and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. The offered card has bold colors and a strong image of Mantle. Graded POOR 1 by SGC largely due to evidence of album removal on the reverse. Despite the modest technical grade, this remains a very presentable example of one of Mantle's most desirable and significant cards.
