Description

Encapsulated as "Authentic Altered" by PSA (submitted by REA). According to the PSA population report this is the only "Framed" example encapsulated by PSA to date. Modestly graded example of George Washington (first president of the United States) from the circa 1860s L. Prang & Co. "Prominent Characters, Men of Times" set. Issued by noted lithographer Louis Prang, this set features more than 60 cards of prominent individuals from the time. Cards were produced with multiple front variations and blank backs. The offered card has a strong image, light corner wear, and scattered foxing front and back. There is an irregular hand cut on all sides.
