Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Only three examples have been graded higher by PSA to date. Stunning high-grade example of #5 Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls) from the 1985-1986 Star Company Basketball "Slam Dunk Supers 5x7" series. Issued as part of a 10-card set produced by the Star Company commemorating the 1985 NBA Slam Dunk contest, it predates Jordan's 1986-1987 Fleer rookie card. Due to the card's larger size, method of issue in a bag, and lack of appropriate storage for cards of this size in the era of issue, the card is often found with chipping to the fragile red borders and corners. This is not the case with this incredible gem, which presents with brilliant colors, sharp corners, and outstanding centering. Clean reverse. This is a tremendous example in exceptional condition of one of Michael Jordan's earliest cards. Awarded an MBA Bronze Diamond by Mike Baker Authenticated for high-end eye appeal. A corresponding MBA sticker is affixed to the front of the holder.
