Lot # 898: 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes Jackie Robinson Kneeling in Dugout SGC FAIR 1.5

Exceptional mid-grade example of Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson from the 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes issue. The Old Gold Cigarettes advertising card is a fascinating vintage card, which has received very little attention even though it is so distinctive and dates from very early in his Hall of Fame career. The offered example is bright and clean, with a crisp image, excellent centering, and four strong corners. The reverse is boldly printed. Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC due to a small area of paper loss on the front. This is an outstanding mid-grade example of one of Jackie Robinson's earliest cards.
