Graded VG 3 by SGC. Attractive example of Ted Williams card from the 1948-1949 Leaf set. Aside from being one of Williams’ most popular cards, the 1948-1949 Leaf card is also one of Williams’ most striking cards. This well-centered example has vibrant colors, excellent registration, and honest corner wear (weaker bottom right). Boldly printed reverse displaying a wrinkle in the upper left. Of special note, this example displays a pink background, as opposed to the more commonly seen orange background. The colors on 1948-1949 Leafs often vary from card to card, in some cases dramatically, due to normal production variances; this is part of the charm of the set. This is an appealing mid-grade example of one of Williams’ most popular cards and one of the key cards from the 1948-1949 Leaf set.
