Graded EX 5 by SGC. Mid-grade example of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams' 1954 Bowman card, one of the most significant of all postwar baseball-card rarities. Williams had to be replaced with a different card (#66 Jimmy Piersall) very early in the 1954 Bowman print run due to contractual commitments to Topps. The offered card features bright colors, a crisp image, and even corner wear. There is light toning on the reverse, as well as a tiny surface flaw on the right edge (when held horizontally).
