Presented is a complete set of 1969-1970 Topps basketball, highlighted by numerous stars and key rookie cards, including Hall of Famers John Havlicek and Lew Alcindor. This ninety-nine card set represents Topps' first large-scale basketball effort in over a decade (since its first issue in 1957) and is extremely popular with collectors due to its size, design, and star selection. Condition is 12% Ex-Mt or slightly better, 81% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 7% Gd to Vg (including one Fr). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #1 Chamberlain (EX 5), 2 Goodrich RC (Ex+), 10 Thurmond RC (Ex-Mt), 15 Hawkins RC (Ex+), 20 Havlicek RC (Vg-Ex), 25 Alcindor RC (NM 7), 35 Baylor (Gd+), 40 Cunningham RC (Ex), 43 Bradley RC (Ex), 44 Wilkens (Ex+), 45 Lucas RC (Ex+), 50 Robertson (Ex), 55 Bing RC (Ex+), 56 Unseld RC (Ex-Mt+), 60 Reed RC (EX 5), 75 Hayes RC (Ex), 80 Monroe RC (Fr), 85 DeBusschere RC (Ex-Mt), 90 West (Vg), 98 Frazier RC (NM 7), and 99 Checklist (90/10 T/B, otherwise Ex). This is a very attractive and consistent mid-grade complete set of this significant and popular early Topps basketball issue. Total: 99 cards.
