Lot # 2255: 1965 Jackie Robinson Signed Check with Rachel Robinson Letter - PSA/DNA

Personal check dated November 16, 1965, and signed by Jackie Robinson, accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Rachel Robinson (Jackie Robinson's wife). PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and certified the signature as "Authentic." The check, drawn on the Freedom National Bank of New York, is made out to the "American Airlines" in the amount of $37.70. Signed "Jack R. Robinson" in black ink along the base. There are multiple endorsements stamped on the reverse. The check (6 x 2.75 inches), which has normal bank cancellation stamps, is in Excellent condition overall. A one-page signed letter of provenance from Rachel Robinson accompanies the check (this is one of a number of checks that was released into the hobby by the Robinson family in the early 1990s).
