Presented is a full-color near-complete set of 1910 E75 American Caramel Prize Fighters consisting of fifteen different cards (out of twenty in the set). Missing the following five cards for completion: Corbett, Dixon, Hart, McCoy, and Sullivan. Includes a duplicate of Battling Nelson. Condition is Pr to Fr overall, with a couple Gd and one Vg. Keys: Attell (Pr, with partially erased pencil on front), Fitzsimmons (Pr-Fr), Jeffries (pencil marks on reverse, otherwise Fr), Johnson (Fr), and Walcott (Gd). Compared to baseball cards of the era, these early boxing cards, which are at least as scarce, represent a particularly outstanding value. Caramel cards, of course, tend to be far rarer than their tobacco-card counterparts for both baseball and boxing cards. This is a very presentable lower-grade near-complete set of one of the most classic boxing candy issues from the early twentieth century. Total: 16 cards (near set of 15 plus one duplicate).
