Description

Personal check, dated January 2, 1957, signed in green ink by Detroit Tigers Hall of Fame outfielder Ty Cobb. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and graded the signature NM-MT 8. The check, drawn on the First National Bank of Nevada, is made out to “Wightman's” in the amount of $21.33. Signed “Tyrus R. Cobb” along the base. Cobb’s preprinted name appears along the left border. There are a number of stamped endorsements on the reverse. The check (8 x 3 inches) has a single vertical fold, as well as standard bank cancellation stamps and perforations. Excellent condition overall.
