Lot # 2674: 1985 Nike Promo "Sport Cards" Factory-Sealed Set Including Michael Jordan

Nike issued five postcard-size “Sport Cards” in 1985 to promote its products. Customers were given shrink-wrapped sets of the cards, topped by a title card. The players featured in the set are Dwight Gooden, James Lofton, John McEnroe, Lance Parrish, and, most significantly, Michael Jordan (issued during his rookie season). Presented is a complete set that remains sealed as originally distributed. The Jordan card from this issue has become overwhelmingly popular in recent years as collectors search for high-grade examples of this condition-sensitive issue. The set is sealed in its factory shrink-wrapping. Excellent condition overall.
