Lot # 637: 1925 Anonymous Postcards Manager Ty Cobb SGC GOOD+ 2.5

Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC. Extremely rare postcard of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the 1925 Anonymous Postcards series. A total of eight known cards comprise a complete set, and except for Ruth, all known subjects were managers in 1925. Each postcard in the set measures 3.25 x 5.5 inches, features a black-and-white photo in the center, and a traditional postcard reverse. The offered card displays a bold image and light touches of wear at the corners. The reverse has never been addressed or mailed. Downgraded due to a small stain along the lower-left edge and spots of age toning along the perimeter of the reverse. This incredibly rare card would be a worthy addition to any Ty Cobb, type, or postcard collection
