Attractive uncut sheet from the classic 1928 W513 strip-card issue highlighted by six baseball Hall of Famers. The uncut sheet of twenty-five cards features fifteen baseball players (#61-65, 71-75, and 81-85) in the three middle rows, including Hall of Famers Terry, Pennock, P. Waner, Haines, Lazzeri, and Coombs. The balance of the sheet features cards of famous pilots and boxers. These colorful cards are referred to as "strip cards" because they were originally issued in uncut sheets or "strips" and were cut apart, as intended, with scissors. In the early days of the organized hobby, strip cards did not "get any respect." It is only in recent years that collectors have begun to appreciate the distinctive look and tremendous value these cards represent. A continuation of the W512 series, this uncut sheet of twenty-five cards is included in a larger 90-card multi-subject series. The sheet (7 x 11 inches) is bright and clean, with vibrant colors, outstanding registration, and honest corner wear. In Good to Very Good condition due to a chipped bottom-right corner. This is an appealing W513 "strip-card" sheet in its original uncut form, featuring six baseball Hall of Famers.
