Presented is a rarely-offered collection of ten different R56 "Funnies" issued in 1934 by the General Gum Company of Chicago and accompanied by an original wax wrapper. These fascinating novelty cards were designed to produce an action scene when a celluloid screen is placed over the card. The backs have a brief description of the illustrated picture on the front. Two cards have been graded by PSA. This collection consists of the following: "Here we have..." (Vg+), "Here's Winnie Winkle..." (Ex), "Little Orphan Annie..." (Fr), "Looks as though..." (VG-EX+ 4.5), "Now Listen..." (Vg+), "Oh Ma! Ma!..." (Vg), "Oh-Oh! Looks Like..." (Vg-Ex), "Pompous 'Bimbo'..." (EX 5), "Sandy and Annie..." (partially erased pencil on front, otherwise Vg), and "Uncle Walt..." (Gd+). The scarce wrapper is in Good condition overall due to a small hole and edge tear. Total: 11 items (10 cards plus one wax wrapper).
