Presented is a partial set of 1948 Bowman "Movie Stars" consisting of twenty-six different cards (out of 36 in the set). This is a rare and interesting set, with card fronts designed very much like 1948 Bowman baseball, and backs very much like 1949 Bowman baseball. Included are all the top movie stars of the day such as Eve Arden, Cesar Romero, Shelley Winters, William Demarest, and Yvonne De Carlo. All twenty-six cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC. Missing the following ten cards for completion: #1, 2, 3, 13, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35 Henie, and 36. SGC Grading Composite: NM/MT 88 (3 cards): #7, 12 Demarest, and 18. NM+ 86 (1 card): #17 De Carlo. NM 84 (5 cards): #10, 15 Romero, 16, 30, and 31.
