Presented is complete set pair of 1937 R172 Gum, Inc. "Wild West" trading cards, plus five duplicates. A total of forty-eight cards is considered by many hobbyists to be complete as almost all sets are missing the extremely rare #25 Cowboy Outfit premium card (this pair includes two #25 reprints). Each card in this set features a colorful, western-themed scene with a description on the reverse. These cards were issued with puzzle backs (Type 1) or without puzzle backs (Type 2). Both sets offered entirely consist of puzzle backs, except for one type 2 #41. Condition is 16% Vg to Vg-Ex, 31% Gd, and 53% Pr to Fr. Includes the following five duplicates: #4, 10, 19, 27, and 35. This is a rarely offered complete set pair of this popular and desirable 1930s gum-card issue. Total: 103 cards (2 sets of 48 plus 5 duplicates and two reprints).
