Presented is a collection of 78 assorted Exhibits cards from three different series, spanning the years 1939 to 1966 and highlighted by 25 Hall of Famers, including Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, and Joe DiMaggio. Exhibits cards were traditionally sold for one penny each from vending machines placed at arcades and amusement parks for more than four decades (from 1921 to the 1960s). This collection consists of the following: 1) 1939-1946 W462 Salutation Exhibits (11 cards): Condition is Poor, with all showing staple holes. Includes the following: Boudreau, Cavarretta, two DiMaggio, Elliot, Feller/pitching, Gordon/Cleveland, Holmes/yours truly, Marion/no "an exhibit card", Pafko/"C" on cap, and Williams/#9 not showing. 2) 1947-1966 Exhibits (66 cards): Condition is Poor, with all (except one card that grades Vg) showing staple holes. Keys: Ashburn/first name incorrect, Appling, Berra/"made in USA," two Campanella, Doby, Doerr/"an exhibit card," Hodges/"B" on cap, Hutchinson, two Kell, Kiner, McDougald/"Made in U.S.A." lower-right (Vg), Musial, Newcombe/Dodgers on jacket, Newhouser, Reese/ball not visible, Rizzuto , J. Robinson, Roe, Schoendienst/fielding, name in white, Slaughter, Spahn/"B" on cap, 1948 Indians Team, 1950 Phillies Team, and 1950 Yankees Team. 3) 1962 Statistic Back Exhibits (1 card): Mays (Vg, black back). In our opinion, Exhibits cards in general represent an excellent collecting value. This is a substantial low-grade collection with better eye-appeal than the technically very modest condition would indicate. Total: 78 cards.
