Description

1903 Philadelphia Athletics W601 Sporting Life team composite featuring portrait images of 15 team members, including manager Connie Mack, Eddie Plank, Rube Waddell, and Chief Bender. These team composites, printed on heavy enamel paper and issued by the Sporting Life newspaper, were available to fans either by individual purchase (for ten cents) or as a complete set in a bound volume. The composite (13 x 14 inches) features a tape stain along the top, along with several edge tears and pieces missing. Poor condition overall. The piece is affixed to a thick backing and is matted to total dimensions of 14 x 15 inches. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
