Presented is one of vintage-card collecting's most recognizable icons and the key card of the 1911 Turkey Red Tobacco cabinet-card series: #9 Ty Cobb. Besides being the most valuable card in the set, it is also one of the most desirable and striking of all Ty Cobb cards. This example is bright and crisp with brilliant colors and outstanding registration. The checklist back (with offer) is boldly printed. Graded POOR 1 by PSA, the flaws include moderate corner wear and heavy vertical creasing extending down the center of the card. The classic Turkey Red set is considered by many to be the most beautiful and well-made tobacco set ever issued. The T3 Ty Cobb has always and will always be in high demand, especially a modestly graded example which presents with strong eye appeal.
