Very presentable rookie example of Japanese baseball superstar Sadaharu Oh from the 1959 Menko JCM12a Marusan Simple Blue Back issue. Oh is pictured on the card with teammate Shigeo Nagashima, who was a fantastic player in his own right. This example has vibrant colors, a crisp image, rounded corners, and outstanding centering. Boldly printed reverse. Graded POOR 1 by SGC largely due to heavy creasing and ink writing front and back. Oh hit an astounding 868 home runs in his career, making him the all-time home run champion in professional baseball.
