Collection of five single-signed baseballs and one dual-signed baseball, all signed by a different U.S. astronaut. Each of these astronauts and their accomplishments will be familiar to any fan of space exploration. All the signatures appear on an official American, National, or Major League Baseball ball dating from the 1980s or later. Two of the balls have varying degrees of age toning; otherwise in Excellent to Near Mint condition overall. This collection consists of the following: 1) Official Major League baseball (Selig) signed in blue ink by Jim Lovell across the sweet spot. Lovell has added the inscription "Apollo 13 CDR" below his signature. 2) Official American League baseball (Budig) signed in blue ink by Charles Conrad across the sweet spot. Conrad has added the inscription "Cdr. Apollo XII" below his signature. 3) Official Major League baseball (Selig) signed by Edgar Mitchell in blue ink across the sweet spot. Mitchell has added the inscription "Apollo 14" below his signature. 4) Official Major League baseball (Selig) signed in blue ink by Gene Cernan across the sweet spot. Cernan has added the inscription "Last man on moon/Apollo XVII" below his signature. 5) Official National League baseball (White) signed in blue ink by Alan Shepard across the sweet spot. 6) National League baseball (Feeney) signed in black ink by Joe Engle along one side panel and Richard Truly along another.Total: 6 balls.
