Description

Personal check, dated June 3, 1927, signed in black fountain pen by Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner. The check, drawn on the Carnegie National Bank of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, is made out to "Pittsburg Athletic Ast" in the amount of $7.50. Signed "J. Honus. Wagner" along the base. Wagner's preprinted name appears on the left border. There are two stamped endorsements on the reverse. The check (8.5 x 3.25 inches) has normal bank cancellation stamps and perforations as well as a vertical fold and light wrinkles. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
