Lot # 19: 1880s H804-17 “Bluish-Green Series” SGC-Graded Complete Set (9)

Extremely attractive complete set of H804-17 "Bluish-Green Series" trading cards. This set of nine cards issued in the 1880s is colorfully illustrated with drawings of various baseball scenes on a "bluish-green" background and a short caption at the top. These cards were produced for merchants to use as promotional advertising cards. All nine cards in this specific set feature an ad for Beals, Torrey & Co. on the front and blank backs. Each card has been graded by SGC and, as can be seen, presents much better than the assigned grade. SGC Grading Composite: FAIR 1.5 (1 card): Go!. POOR 1 (7 cards): A Curver, A Home Run, Foul and Out, Get Back, Hold Your Base!, Send Em In!, and Victor and Vanquished. Authentic (1 card): Great Expectations (minimum size not met).
