Lot # 1723: 1974 Topps Uncut Sheet (132 Cards) Including Bench, Ryan, Carew, and Carlton

Original 1974 Topps baseball uncut final production sheet consisting of 132 cards with fully printed reverses. The sheet is arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards. The seventeen Hall of Famers featured on the sheet are Alston, Aparicio, Bench, Berra, Brock, Carew, Carlton, Fisk, Morgan, Niekro, Oliva, Perez, Perry, Ryan, Schoendienst, Sutton, and B. Williams. Grading of sheets has always posed a problem as we naturally tend to grade a sheet as if it were a "big card" when really a grade does not capture the condition or visual appeal of a sheet (all the more so as sheets tend to be large). That is certainly the case here. The sheet presents with an overall Good appearance with normal wear along the edges and at the corners. There is moisture staining along the bottom, light creasing throughout, and the name "Danny" is written in red ink on the bottom border. If framed and hung on a wall it would project an outstanding overall appearance! Dimensions: 28-1/4 x 42-3/4 inches.
